Reaction of soybean cultivars Alba and Slaviya on sowing method

The reaction of soybean cultivars on sowing method: wide or usual size of rows was studied at VNIIMK, Krasnodar, on leached chernozem in 2007-2009. The research showed the effectiveness of rows with usual interow spacing, proving an average increase of seed yield 0.12 t ha-1. However, in 2007, sowing with wide row spacing possessed an advantage on cultivar Slaviya. In average in years of research, the more susceptible cultivar to sowing method was Slaviya and cultivar Vilana was indifferent to it. It is offered to construct soybean agrocoenosis differentially, taking into attention soil, climate and agricultural-ecological conditions of sowing areas as well as finance and technical equipment of farms.
