One of the educational challenges that the education science and practice face is the improvement of mathematical training of students with major in liberal arts. The article considers an andragogy approach, which includes the method of analysis of specific situations, as a way of actualization of personal appreciation and professional need of the mathematical knowledge for the students with major in psychology.
