Realization of innovations in agricultural clusters as a mechanism of bioeconomic development

Agriculture is often considered as a traditionally conservative branch of the economy, and often as a source of environmental threats. However, in the last few years, the development and implementation of innovations in the field of agro-industrial complex has taken on a global scale. In respect that in a current economic situation the agricultural sector has become the main driver of the Russian GDP growth, it can be assumed that further application of innovative approaches will allow not only to maintain the pace of development of this sector, but also to ensure the outstripping growth. Agro-industrial clusters, as a relatively new approach of doing business in agriculture, should become a platform for accelerated introduction and development of innovations, by combining research laboratories and manufacturing enterprises. All this, and especially green innovations, can become a serious step towards the transition of the traditional economic model to the model of bioeconomics.
