The article is devoted to the organization of the educational process in physics in a military educational institution based on independent work of cadets. The novelty of the study is associated with the analysis of existing approaches and the proposal of an algorithm that providesfor early theoretical development, generalization of initial data and careful consideration of measurement errors. The work describes the results of using practice-oriented tasks that allow transferring a significant part of experimental exercises to the zone of independent training. The sources were studied, which showed that preliminary testing and filling out «semireports» increase the motivation of cadets and encourage them to delve deeper into the essence of physical phenomena. Particular attention is paid to group work and interaction of future military specialists when performing laboratory tasks. The work sets the task of optimizing the educational process, forming analytical and experimental skills. To solve the problem, methods of comparative analysis and generalization of literature data are used. The conclusion briefly describes the benefits of implementing this methodology for military professional training. The article will be useful for teachers involved in improving laboratory practical training in physics.
