Realization of communicative strategies in discourse of American digital diplomacy

This study examines communicative strategies used in the discourse of American digital diplomacy and their linguistic features. Global digitalization did not leave aside such a conservative institution as public diplomacy, transforming it into digital diplomacy. Based on the analysis of scientific works and the results obtained during the research, the regularity in the use of speech strategies and tactics is revealed. In particular, the study found that the most typical strategies for American digital diplomacy are information strategy and evaluation strategy. The study also found that institutional discourse is characterized by the use of information strategies.
