The article justifies the conclusion that the application of the methods of sign-contextual learning in the teaching of a foreign language in non-core universities kompetentnostnogo most consistent with the modern approach to education and ensures the successful formation of professional competence of students. Special attention is paid to technologies of designing, organizing and conducting business games at the classes of foreign language teaching at non-profile universities.
