The competitive advantages of the southern regions of Kyrgyzstan in the production of fruit and vegetable products are substantiated. A comparative analysis of the development trends of this industry in the southern regions of the country is carried out. The regional features of the development of the fruit and vegetable industry, the strengthening of the role of this region in the production of vegetable products in the republic, the preservation of a predominant role in the production of fruit and berry products, as well as a decrease in the production of grapes, which are mainly produced in the south of the country, are revealed. The potential threats of unbalanced mutual trade in agricultural products with the Republic of Uzbekistan for the implementation of the competitive advantages of the southern regions of the country in the production of fruit and vegetable products is emphasized. The main directions and mechanisms for implementing competitive advantages in the development of this industry are determined.
