The problem of interdisciplinary connections is the object of attention and is of interest to teachers of all levels of education, as evidenced by scientific papers and publications. The purpose of the presented article is to show the necessity and possibility of implementing interdisciplinary connections of natural science and general technical disciplines in a military university. The need to take into account the interrelationship of disciplines was revealed back in the 17th century, and in the modern educational context this idea remains relevant. The authors believe that in the system of professional education, interdisciplinary connections of academic disciplines play an important role in training and are an effective tool for the formation of professional competencies and improving the quality of training of military specialists. The materials of the study were selected pedagogical works of scientists and teachers and articles from scientific journals, which reflect the features of interdisciplinary connections and determine the relevance of the topic under study. Thus, starting from the 17th century, it was believed that everything should be taught in interconnection; they called for the use of interrelations between the subjects studied as a means of promoting the correct perception of the world around us; they believed that understanding the connection between subjects helps to see the world in all its diversity. The last century and the beginning of the present have become relevant for research in the field of interdisciplinary connections, since at this time modern approaches are developed and hypotheses are put forward about the dependence of interdisciplinary connections on the content of the academic discipline and methodological techniques. Interdisciplinary connections between various academic disciplines are studied - physics, mathematics, computer science, electrical engineering and electronics, etc. The article focuses on the use of information technologies that allow to quickly process large amounts of data and analyze the results. According to the authors, the combination of such disciplines as electrical engineering and electronics, metrology and standardization with computer science increases the effectiveness of their study. Effective teaching methods are aimed at activating mental activity and requiring the use of generalized knowledge from different disciplines. For the disciplines “Computer Science”, “Electrical Engineering and Electronics” and “Metrology, Standardization and Certification” the article provides examples of problem tasks related to the construction of mathematical models of electronic devices and the processing of experimental data, and their solution using computer technology.
