Purpose: To determine the aspects of realisation of a juvenile’s legal interests as opposed to rights, freedom, and duties. Methodology: The author used different methods: from general (i.e. logic, historic, and systemic) to specific (i.e. regular-legal, comparative and legal). Results: The review of literature and regulatory legal acts of various fields contributes to research conclusions. Firstly, legal interests, in line with legal rights and freedom, act as a structural element of a juvenile legal status. Secondly, classified according to contracting parties, the rights’ exercise falls into direct and indirect. Legal interest is viewed as a criterion to determine contracting parties of the latter. Thirdly, the specific form of a juvenile legal status realisation implies his / her legal interests in legal relations among other subjects, who have to act in the interests of a juvenile. Novelty/originality/value: In legal science, the structure of a juvenile legal status contains hardly any legal interests and the number of research works on the aspects of the juvenile rights exercise is low.
