One of the hottest and priority areas of modern linguistics remains the indepth study of semantic oppositions including conceptual opposition of “friend” and “foe”, which is significant in defining religious perceptions of different nations. The archetypal opposition of “friend” and “foe” in the perceptions of a modern person still remains one of the most important operations in the process of understanding the world. At the same time, this opposition is interpreted in axiological terms, namely in this opposition, which is implemented in the religious perceptions of those who represent radical Islam. The reality of the “friend-or-foe” opposition is concretized in the form of oppositions (variants), expressed by direct specification (us - them), evaluative oppositions (good - bad, right - wrong, true - false), affective-social and social oppositions (friend - enemy) or related to confessional denotation (Muslim - non-Muslim).
