The implementation of import substitution policy in the republic of belarus in the perception of russian regional business

The article examines the perception of Russian regional enterprises of the existing import substitution policy in the Republic of Belarus. The research methods were semi-structured focused interviews with representatives of Sverdlovsk Oblast enterprises operating in the Republic of Belarus. The sample included 45 enterprises; 23 enterprises participated in the study. Date of the interview: September 14, 2020 -November 17, 2020. The average duration of the interview is 45 minutes. The article is structured as _ follows: the first part describes the design of the empirical study. The second part is devoted to the analysis of approaches to the formation of import substitution policy in the Republic of Belarus. The third part includes a study of the respondents' perception of the import substitution policy implemented in Belarus. According to some regional businesses, the import substitution policy implemented in Belarus is one of the barriers to the economic integration of Russia and Belarus in the framework of the Union State.
