Implementation of the "strike hard" policy on extremism and terrorism in Xinjiang Uyghur autonomous region of China

In the article, the author reflects a part of the study devoted to the formation and development of the system of countering extremism and terrorism in China on the example of the implementation by the authorities of the republic a policy called «hard strike». An attempt has been made to chronologically identify the main aspects of the problem, taking into account the transformation of the approaches of the state structures of China to the search for the most effective options for combating extremism and terrorism in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
