The article examines development tendencies of such legal phenomenon as necessary defence in the national criminal law. The emphasis is given to the unshakeable positions of this institute in criminal law regulation of every person’s rights to defend his interests and interests of others. The author underlines its stable positions in criminal legislation regardless of qualitative and quantitative changes made.
