Continuity implementation in teaching mathematics to students of engineering higher school

Problem and purpose. The article deals with the problem of continuity of mathematical preparation based on mathematical intrasubject and interdisciplinary links. A contradiction was revealed between the necessity to use mathematical instrumentarium and applied computer programs all along the period of teaching students in an engineering higher school and in their future professional activity, on the one hand, and the low level of continuity principles implementation, perpetuity and systematicity in teaching mathematics to technical higher school students, on the other hand. The purpose of the article is to identify and substantiate the pedagogical conditions for implementing continuity in teaching mathematics to technical college students. The research methodology of the study is revealed through the analysis of normative documents used in the sphere of higher education, analysis and generalization of research works by foreign and Russian scientists, in which reflect the key ideas of contextual, interdisciplinary, polyparadigmatic approaches in teaching students oriented to quality improvement of their mathematical qulfication in accordance with the Federal State Educational Standards. Results. The key ideas of continuity implementation of teaching mathematics in the conditions of uninterrupted mathematical preparation were formulated and given credulity. The contextual and interdisciplinary approaches as a basis for continuity were considered. Prolonged teaching of mathematics as a condition encouraging continuity implementation in teaching mathematics on the basis of intrasubject and interdisciplinary links was suggested. The educational module was proposed as a means of implementing prolongated teaching of mathematics. It was aimed at consistent and systematic acquisition of mathematical knowledge as well as perfecting its application in project activities and in solving problems of various contexts. The analysis of the results of prolongated teaching of mathematics was presented. The conclusion. The article highlights theoretical ideas of teaching continuity aimed at training specialists who meet the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standards of Higher Education and the labor market demands.The theory of prolonged teaching of mathematics being implemented within the framework of optional disciplines by solving the problems of different contexts for students - future bachelors of forest engineering is also presented in the article. The results obtained can be specified taking into account the concrete character of the professional orientation of teaching, the results of the research can also be used in various other training programs.
