Implementation of state business support programs in the BRICS countries (the case of South Africa)

This article examines government support programs for business in the Republic of South Africa. South Africa is one of the most developed countries on the African continent and in the global South in general, so the analysis of state support mechanisms for business will identify effective measures that can be adopted by other developing countries. The authors reach the conclusion that, at present, the existing domestic problems partly could hinder the full-fledged implementation of business support programs in South Africa.
