Realization of the spatial potential of small enterprises in the practice of rehabilitation of single-industrial cities of the Samara region

The article presents a retrospective study in terms of borrowing management experience and developing approaches to a comprehensive regional economic policy taking into account the spatial potential of small businesses using such scientific methods as analysis, synthesis, retrospective, statistical. Small businesses are a strategic tool for managing regional development. Possessing spatial potential, they can positively influence the surrounding economic space in economic, innovative and social aspects. Being highly dependent on regional economic policy, this segment of the economy requires constant improvement of incentive mechanisms. Samara Region has unique experience in improving the economic space using the example of Russia’s largest single-industry city of Tolyatti.
