The article is devoted to the study of the concepts of "the right", "legitimate interest" Decent Work in relation to wages. Analyzes the components of wages, minimum wages and the problem of the relationship a living wage. The issues raised in this article are very relevant. The right to remuneration for work without any discrimination and not below the statutory minimum wage - one of the fundamental rights of workers. On June 1, 2011 in conformity with the General Agreement for 2011-2013. SMIC increased by 6.5% from the current 4330 to 4611 rubles. But until now, debate continues about the legal nature of the minimum wage. Under current labor law, in contrast to the original wording of the Labour Code (Article 133), the minimum wage covers all payments to reward, of a compensatory nature. This reduces the level of guarantees of labor rights of workers, compared with the previous. This is particularly so in respect of the minimum wage to employees who are entitled to compensation in connection with work in specific geographical areas, in difficult and hazardous working conditions. All the above confirms the relevance of the study. The article disclosed in detail the legal significance of the minimum wage. Raised the point about the illegitimacy of the inclusion of compensation and incentive payments in the minimum wage.
