Implementation the law on compulsory education in schools of Buryat-Mongolian ASSR during World War II (1941-1945)

The article, based on unpublished documents of the State Archive of the Republic of Buryatia, discusses the implementation of the law on Compulsory Education in 1941-1945. A particular attention is paid to the specifics of the law implementation in wartime conditions, financing and supply of schools, the quantity dynamics of schools. The study has found out that in 1941-1945 BMASSR secondary school didn’t have logistical framework necessary for the normal operation and implementation of the law in full, but during severe trials and hardships it didnt only function, but also laid a decent foundation for further development.
