As we know, human life passed in any traditional society at two levels: level of daily life and level of symbolic reality. The mythological thinking was the main way to understand and maintain a harmonious balance between Nature and Person. The article reviews such categories of the ethnic culture of the Evens and the Evenks as a way and movement, their role in everyday nomadic life of the Tungus both on the earth and in life after death. The rivers and mountains are not only the way/road that leads from the center (source) of the world to the periphery, but also the border between the worlds, the space of meeting and divergence. In everyday nomadic life of the Tungus in the development of vital territories and religious and mythological understanding of space, the important role was played by a landscape triad “taiga-rivers-mountains” on the basis of which the special world concept and the mental culture of nomadic Tungus ethnic groups were created.
