Review of D. Zamolodchikov, V. Grabovsky, and G. Kraev paper «Russian forests carbon budget over the last 2 decades»

D. Zamolodchikov, V. Grabovsky, and G. Kraev paper «Russian forests carbon budget over the last 2 decades» published in the magazine «Silviculture» No.6 in 2011 is reviewed. The authors in their calculations apply «stock difference» approach which is not reliable statistically and unsuitable for outdated yearly data of the SFI. The review concludes that the reported data by Rosgidromet for the UNFCCC under the model CEPL RAS significantly reduce Russian forest carbon potential.
