Speech and writing in their relation with language and reality

Бесплатный доступ

The following article is focused on language as a sign system modeling reality. The main studies in this field deal with the content plane of a language, namely language semantic, primarily lexical and then morphological and syntactic. At the same time, it is revealed that great modeling potential is also found on the expression plane, namely the material organization of a language, For example, relative distinctness of oral speech, based on the contrast and reproducibility of speech segments, leads to a possibility of a similarly relative parallel segmentation of ‘the flow of life’. Emergence of a discrete and static writing system leads to a formation of a static and discrete worldview. Such concept of a modeling power of a language is similar to ideas expressed in M. I. Cheremisina’s theoretical works.
