The article deals with the mutual influence of FM Dostoevsky's speech about Pushkin and the twelfth book of the novel "The Brothers Karamazov". The context in which Dostoevsky's novel is being discussed in the final discussion of the question of Russia and its mission in world history is in fact identical to the one on which Pushkin's speech is oriented.
