The study of communication from the perspective of linguistic pragmatics is based on different characteristics of the participants of communication. From this point of view, aspects of communication include pragmatic, social parameters, and situational strategies and tactics of communicators. Pragmatic aspects are aspects of communication related to the influence of the communicants on each other. Such aspects can be related directly to the personalities of the communicators, to the relationship between them, as well as to the situation of communication. In this regard, linguists study overt or covert goals and intentions; speech strategies and tactics; types of speech behaviour; attitudes of communicators; time, place and conditions of communication. Status-role communication is based on the expectation that a languagepersonality will observe the speech norms peculiar to his or her position in society and determined by the nature of the relationship with the interlocutor. Each role consists of a specific set of rights and responsibilities. Perceptions of the typical performance of this or that role are formed into stereotypes of role behavior, which are formed on the basis of experience. When studying the speech of the communicator as a linguistic personality it is important to consider not only his social role, but also the pragmatic role, which is understood as the expression of communicative purpose and intention, aimed at the subsequent impact on the partner. The pragmatic role is expressed in speech through specific concrete techniques of communicators.
