The article analyses the forms of speech behavior and communicative moods of the persons of the second remade edition of The Tribunal comedy by Vladimir Voinovich. We study such forms of speech interaction in the role distribution authoritarian society, as manipulation, citing and silence. We pay attention to the forms of communication in the social media, talk-shows, spiritual consultations, official meetings etc. represented in the comedy. We prove, that the dramatist investigates speech processes of collective persecution of the scapegoat, that allows to understand such social and psychological resources of the trial against an innocent, as lack of humanity, self-securitisation, self-interest, dependence on ste-reotypes and primitive mind. This approach helps us to define limits of intertextuality of this comedy and archetypical plot constructions. The intertextual layer are works by Scott, Push-kin, Gogol and Kafka. The archetypical layer is rite of scapegoat. The final transformation of the protagonist, from the sentenced to the Chief, now could be understood as broad irony, scepsis and sarcastic attitude to the social development. Such criticism of new times is neces-sary in all social satiric comedies, that we can refer in Russian literature to Fonvizin (Von Wiesen), Griboedov and Gogol.
