River flothilies in the first period of civil war

A century has passed since the spring of 1918, when a war, unfamiliar with precedents in world history, unfolded on the river fairways, taking hundreds of lives of sailors and river men to the bottom from both opposing sides. The experience of combat operations was acquired by both sides directly in the course of battles, the outcome of which was often decided by surprise and the ability to make extraordinary decisions. Documents that were not available before give us the opportunity to tell readers in detail and in an unbiased way about the events that have become the history of the Russian river fleet.
