This article presents an analysis of the essay as a form of the student's individual independent work, which contributes to a more complete disclosure of creative potential, satisfaction of higher needs for the study of academic discipline and self-development. The abstract is considered as a type of work with information of students on the basis of multifactorial (multi-criteria) and dualistic approaches.
