Reflection as a way and mean for overcoming the crisis of higher sports education

The article presents theoretical and methodological foundations developed by leading psychologists, teachers, methodologists, enabling the design of advanced educational programs in higher education. Thus, the analysis of the situation of higher sports education points to the need for supporting the progressive theory of teaching and learning, as well as the search for new forms of training, determining the base model of the active formation of professional thinking and professional competence. Reflection as a "study" of teaching activities became possible by setting training samples not in algorithmic, detail expanded and finished form, but in a form involving building, reconstruction and unfolding of the subject content. ln fact, the recovery process and deployment of forms and means of teaching and learning activities becomes the subject of student's reflective analysis. It is also important to note that the activation of reflection in teaching process leads to the fact that student turns its own activities into the subject of his influence, he purposefully begins to change, improve or re-build it.
