Reflection of experience in the western philosophy: from Heraklit to W. James

The article analyses some approaches to the definition of 'experience' concept in the western philosophy from Antiquity till the 20th century. The author believes that the understanding of experience is determined in many respects by comprehension of the essence and the nature of cognition, the role of sense organs and thinking in the process of learning.
