The article is dedicated to understanding of some results of the administrative reform that has been implemented in the Russian Federation since 2004 in terms of the system and structure of federal executive authorities. The author gives a historical overview of the system and structure of soviet state administration bodies, formulates concrete suggestions on current administration bodies system and structure and some opinions, which ensure observance of state and society interests in matters of government administration in the state.
