Regional balance as a factor of ensuring economic security

In modern conditions, the level of turbulence of economic development increases, which is caused by a complex of internal and external factors. The consequence of this is the weakening of economic security. The article considers one of the factors of economic security, which has not yet received due attention in the literature. This is the level of balance of regional development. Traditionally, spatial (regional) differentiation is considered as a factor reducing the level of economic security. Balance indicators make it possible to evaluate this differentiation from alternative positions. In addition, imbalance can be considered as a factor-threat to economic security.
