Migration in the era of globalization covers the entire modern world and becomes an integral component of any state. It should be considered not only as a simple inter-territorial movement of people, but as a complex social process affecting various aspects of society. Modern Russian society is characterized by active migration sentiments. Attention to the problems of interregional migration is due to the negative processes of irreversible outflow of population from the region. Attracting migration flows to the region, on the contrary, contributes to the rejuvenation of the population, improvement of the quality of its human resources, and growth of economic potential. Currently, throughout the world, migration plays an important role in the redistribution of human capital between countries and regions. The article examines regional features of migration processes and the mood of modern youth. Sociological analysis of the conducted research allows us to formulate the main tasks and directions of state and regional policy in relation to modern migration processes
