The problems of working out large interregional processes management strategies related to the uneven development of regional economies have been analyzed in the paper. This leads to the search for new principles and methods of economic management based on the specificities of various forms of economic activity in the regions. As an example the issue of establishing logistics centres in areas near the Northern Sea Route which are closely associated with solving political and economic problems, as well as military and border security has been examined. Logistics services can become a large part of Russian export in the Arctic along with the export of oil and gas resources. At the same time, Russia positioning itself as a Eurasian maritime transport state will be able to get a major source of income and will be insured against risks associated with the prospect of a downturn in prices on the global energy market
