Food regulations among Russian peasantry in the late XIX - early XX centuries

The article reviews the food traditions of the Russian peasantry at the turn of the 19th - 20th centuries. It studies the food regulations among peasantry. The paper identifies that the life of the peasants obeyed the certain rules and standards that had both economic and religious and moral nature. Many traditional rules are still relevant at present.
