Regulation of the powers of the head of local self-government and its significance for the municipality

The author in the article considered the regulation of the powers of the head of local self-government and the importance of having a head for a municipality. Powers were considered and listed, exclusive powers were allocated. The author noted that the powers can be broken down by criteria. The problems of lack of consistency in the regulation of powers are highlighted. The author highlighted the problem of the dispersion of norms establishing the powers of the head of a municipality in various branches of law and laws. The ways of improving the regulatory regulation of this sphere are proposed.
