Regulation of relationships between the «Senior» and the «Junior» in Ancient East

The article analyses three outstanding documents of the Ancient East - the Code of Hammurabi, the Law Code of Manu and Confucius’ «Lun yu». On the basis of this analysis the author reviews the origin and development of one of the key problems of education - the relationships between the parents and the children, the educator and the foster child, the teacher and the pupil; the relationships that defined the unique character of pedagogics in oriental civilizations.
