Recommendations for the development of the esports industry in Russia as one of the ways to preserve and develop human potential

By now, esports has become a rapidly developing branch of the economy, which has significant growth potential. The development of the esports industry is largely determined by the effectiveness of state policy in this area. In view of the fact that esports is still a relatively new phenomenon and little described in economic research, approaches to state management of its support and development remain undeveloped. There is practically no scientific research and development that can form the basis of an effective system of measures for the development of the industry corresponding to Russian national conditions. A new integrated approach to managing the development of esports should take into account its impact on human potential, the possibility of its preservation and increment. The purpose of this study is to develop recommendations for the development of the esports industry in Russia as one of the ways to preserve and develop human potential. The research method is a systematic analysis of Russian and foreign scientific articles, as well as such general scientific methods as comparison, synthesis, generalization. The article summarizes approaches to the concept of esports as a factor of development and enhancement of human potential. The main negative and positive directions of the influence of esports and the means of leveling existing problems that can be used as the basis for the developed programs and projects for the development of the industry at various levels of management are identified. The key areas of research of the esports industry aimed at leveling the negative consequences of the development of esports have been identified.
