Reconstruction of personal and social environment of nurses according to the autodocumentary texts by Yu. Boutorova, 1914-1916

The article is devoted to the diaries and letters by a sister of mercy Yulia Boutorova (1885-1946) written in 1914-1916 in the South-Western front. The authors undertook the reconstruction of the personal and social environment of the sisters of mercy, establishing a hierarchy of personal relationships, social, and professional contacts of Boutorova. The main method of research was the content analysis of the text of diaries and letters which allowed to rank family, kinship, and professional relationships according the frequency of references to them in the texts. The authors identify significant number of persons referred to Yulia Boutorova, the character of their activities and relationships. They managed to define a large network of Boutorovs-Davydovs and the system of personal relations of Yulia Boutorova which was formed during her service and allowed her to influence on the army command and the Red Cross leadership.
