Reconstruction of steam boiler BKZ-75-39-440 for co-combustion of bark waste and lignite coal

The article presents the reconstruction scheme of the boiler BKZ-75-39-440 for co-combustion of bark waste and lignite coal for the purpose of its technical-and-economic, ecological improvement. The reconstruction takes into account modern trends in the development of power industry, namely the burning of renewable energy sources. The results of the analysis of the main properties of alternative fuels are presented. The existing methods of burning light sailing particles are analyzed; the main advantages and disadvantages of different technologies are revealed. Based on the data obtained, the distribution and combustion processes of the bark waste particles during vortex aerodynamics in the volume of the combustion chamber are simulated. By the simulation results, a scheme of co-combustion of bark waste and lignite coal in the BKZ-75-39-440 boiler was developed. Thermal calculations with the reconstruction are performed and the main characteristics of the boiler before and after reconstruction are presented.
