Religion and ecology: the culture of relation to nature in animistic cults and the Bible

This article deals with the relationship to nature in animistic cults, which are often recognized as more eco-friendly systems than the traditional biblical worldview. In this regard, we consider the cosmogonic picture of the world contained in the Old Testament, and compare it to the subject of ecofilism with animistic notions. Animism is not able to tame the predatory tendencies of a person, and therefore in practice it turns out to be powerless against the extermination of nature
