This article is devoted to the analysis of the main religious and philosophical ideas of Sergey Alekseev (Askoldov) - one of the least rated Russian thinker of the beginning - middle 20th century. The evolution of his doctrines is shown: from Neo-Leibnizian personalism and his father's (A. A. Kozlow) panpsychism to the system of All-Unity of Vladimir Solovyov, thoughts about the origin of the Holiness and the social and historical role of Russian Church. Also is demonstrated the strong connection between ideas of Askoldov, the multiply trails of his life and historical cataclysms, such as the First and the Second World War, Russian Revolution of 1917, banishment to Zyryan region and Veliky Novgorod, completion of life in 1945 in Potsdam, etc. Based on the analysis of the main points of Askoldov's doctrine, in particular his desire to “reconcile” Western philosophical thought (E. Husserl, A. Bergson, and others) with the doctrine of the Orthodox Church and the lives of Russian saints (John of Kronstadt, Seraphim of Sarov), is made the conclusion, that it can be ranked as an antinomian trend in Russian philosophy (other prominent representatives of which were Semyon Frank and priest Pavel Florensky).
