Religious and anti-religious propaganda in national periodicals: a historical retrospective based on materials from the RNL guidebook "Newspapers on the internet and offline"

The article examines the distinctive features of religious and anti-religious propaganda disseminated in national periodicals. The main attention is focused on the materials of individual issues of periodicals with religious and anti-religious content, published in the period 1912- 1925s. Based on the study of materials from periodicals and modern research, the author comes to the conclusion that the propaganda techniques used in newspapers with anti-religious content are destructive in nature and are aimed primarily at the younger generation. The main damage from this propaganda lies in the devaluation of the activities of religious ministers and the belittlement of their contribution to the development of the country.
