The religious and philosophical worldview of F. M. Dostoevsky as perceived by the Romanian thinker Nichifor Crainic (1889-1972)

The article is an expanded text of the report made at the plenary session of the III Inter- national Scholarly and Theological Conference “Russian-Byzantine Logos”, which was dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the birth of Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky and took place on September 14, 2021. The article shows the specificity of the views of the Romanian theologian Nichifor Crainic on the worldview of Dostoevsky as an exponent of “Russian Christianity” in the context of understanding the issues of national identity in the era of “Greater Romania”. The views of the Romanian theologian are presented on the material of his book “Dostoevsky and Russian Christianity”. At the end of the article, conclusions are drawn about the peculiarities of the perception of the ideas of F. M. Dostoevsky in the Romanian “Gândirism” of Nichifor Crainic.
