This article describes the charisma phenomenon as a promotion granted by spirits or gods to chosen people, as a god-given grace in the form of various extraordinary abilities. The author studies the ‘First Epistle to the Corinthians’ by St. Paul the Apostle as a fundamental description of this phenomenon. Also, the religious notions of charisma of the medieval Mongols are reviewed.
