Religious concepts about the creator in the primitive cultures of the Nivkh and Nanai peoples of the Far East

In this paper, the author demonstrates that primitive (in the sense of civilization) tribes and peoples can nonetheless profess in their spiritual culture exalted concepts of a single Creator of the world and the creation of man as well as well-developed ethical norms for interpersonal relationships. The author’s study of ethnographic materials about the peoples of the Far East confirms the existence of the concept of primitive monotheism.
