Relativity as an ontological characteristic of language lacunae

The relativity of intralingual lacunae is considered. The classification of gaps in terms of intercultural communication is given. On the basis of national-specific characteristics, paralinguistic lacunarity is analyzed. Lacunarity is considered not only in the lexical aspect, but also from the position of extralinguistic factors, taking into account the emotive nature of this linguistic phenomenon. It is proved that the relative nature of intralingual lacunae is most clearly manifested in the example of the transitivity/intransitivity of a verb. The conclusion is made about relativity as a basic property of lacunarity.
