The article analyzes the modern process of the revival of the Yakut heroic epos, olonkho, through the prism of interdisciplinary approach and cultural studies. The author reveals the features of the process that show the presence of spiritual selfconstruction of the Sakha people that preserved their humanistic ideals in mythological archetypes.
