Renovation of industrial territories. Experience in Moscow (1990-2010)

The article examines the experience of renovating industrial areas in the city of Moscow on the example of seven projects: the territory of the former ZIL factory, Winzavod, Trekhgornaya manufactory, Krasny Oktyabr factory, Hammer and Sickle, Bolshevik, Arma. The features of these projects are considered, among which the following are identified: demolition of old buildings and the creation of residential multi-storey buildings in these territories with the inclusion of public, sports, cultural, recreational and business functions in the absence of historical and cultural value of the former industrial buildings; preservation, revitalization and re-profiling of buildings in case of their value; improving the ecological quality of the environment and its improvement.
