Endovascular treatment of lower limb artery diseases for the improvement of reparative regeneration

Бесплатный доступ

Chronic lower limb ischemia is the result of a long-term impaired blood circulation in the body and/or a local decrease in blood supply due to a narrowing or occlusion of the vessel lumen. In such patients, an important task is to improve reparative regeneration in the lower extremities, which is necessary, first of all, to restore blood flow. The main method in the choice of treatment of occlusive stenotic conditions is endovascular balloon angioplasty and, if necessary, the installation of a stent in the affected area of the artery. The paper presents the experience of successful treatment of 152 patients with occlusive-stenotic lesions of the lower limb arteries treated in the clinic of the Bashkir State medical University from January 1 to December 31, 2017. Of the total number of angioplasty procedures, 30 patients underwent direct stenting of the iliac arteries, and 122 patients underwent balloon angioplasty of the femoral-popliteal-tibial segment. The obtained data confirm the need for the use of endovascular methods in the treatment of patients with this pathology using the latest tools developed in this field of medicine.
