X-ray diffraction study of phase formation in high porous cellular materials Fe-Cr-Al during sintering

The results of X-ray study highly porous cellular material of Fe-Cr-Al are showed. Materials were prepared by slurry technology from a mixture of carbonyl iron powders and ligature with composition (wt.%) 20% Fe-60% Cr-20% Al. In mixture was added 1.5% fine powder of Co to enhance the properties of the material after sintering at 700 ° C. The data on the phase composition, the lattice parameters and the fine structure of the starting powder and the charge are showed. Investigated material after intermediate annealing at 700 ° C and after sintering at 1270 ° C. After intermediate annealing recorded three of the bcc phase. After the final sintering state of the material close to a single phase.
