Reorganization of the Soviet holiday calendar in the 1945-1950-s

The article considers the main tendencies of transformation of the holiday calendar during the post-war period and in the early 1950-s, in particular, the public holidays. The author discusses the principle reasons for inclusion of new Soviet holidays into the calendar. The main forms of carrying out the calendar holidays during the considered period are investigated.
